Our Ester-C comes in six different forms: 250 mg chewable wafers, 500 mg tablets, 500 mg capsules, 1000 mg capsules, 1000 mg tablets, and powder. The wafers, powder, capsules and tablets are the American Health brand. The ingredients of the tablets are Ester-C, citrus bioflavonoids, sweet orange, tangerine, lime, lemon, acerola, rutin, hesperidin complex, natually occurring vitamin C metabolites, and binders which include cellulose (plant origin), calcium silicate, vegetable magnesium stearate and vegetable stearic acid.

All milligram values are given in the amount of vitamin C delivered by the Ester-C. Ester-C is a non-acidic form of vitamin C that is time-released and more bio-available than regular ascorbic acid vitamin C. You also get some dietary calcium from Ester-C. Ester-C Ascorbate is manufactured by a unique water-based process that combines vitamin C with calcium using no chemical solvents. This process creates a patented mixture of calcium ascorbate and c metabolites (U.S. Patent No. 4,822,816). Vitamin C does have some drug interactions.
