The OptiMSM flakes dissolve almost as readily as the MSM powder and about the same as the granular. Using a small amount of warm to hot water makes it dissolve quite quickly.
Some people have clear preferences with those in both camps preferring their chosen brand. I prefer Opti because it seems to cause less breath odor than Lignisul, the overall consistency and quality control seem a little better, and I like the idea of buying all-American (Lignisul uses Chinese DMSO as their raw material). But again, there are those that think that Lignisul is more potent, as well as those that thing Opti is more potent (they both analyze the same).
: I have been using the Lignisul MSM powder and will need to place another order in the coming weeks. I understand that the OptiMSM is a flake form rather than a powder but will it also dissolve in water just as easily? I'm thinking of trying the OptiMSM this time...no problem with the powder just thought I'd give the flakes a try.
: What are the reasons for choosing one type over another? If you are currently using MSM, which type do you prefer? Why?
