I think any of the lotions or the facial gel would be fine. The facial gel and emu lotion have the advantage of the emu oil taking the MSM into the skin further. However, I am not sure that lotion alone without taking MSM internally will suffice--I have not heard back from anyone that tried that. Detox and side-effects are two different things. Detox is a temporary state where built-up toxins in your tissues are release during which time you may or may not feel somewhat ill. Detox can actually be considered desireable since you are getting rid of toxins that are already within you. Side-effects are undesireable results that occur with most drugs that do not get better and usually even get worse over time. But to answer your question, I have not heard of anyone going through detox just by using the lotion.
I don't know of any amount of MSM that makes the process go faster. Your body needs time to get rid of the toxins and then to produce healthy new skin cells as it sloughs off the old discolored cells. That process takes time, so try to be patient and consistent.
: I have melasma on my face. I consider it pretty severe. After reading some of the posting, I assume I would want the lotion to place right on it. I looked over the product list and see there are several different lotions. Could someone recommend the correct lotion for this particular problem and location(face)? Also, I have read that people are having side effects, if I used the lotion would this happen from the lotion also? I have tried the Retin A and other creams to get rid of the melasma and mine is deep into the skin, which the doctor stated it would take microdermabrasion to get to it. Would the MSM still help this situation? Last question, it seems to take several months to have results, is there an amount of MSM that is specified for this problem to get the results faster?
