MSM & Itching

There have now been posts from at least three people about MSM causing the sking to itch or hives to occur. I have not had any direct feedback from any of our customers about such an occurance. This brings up some questions that I hope can help isolate the problem.

1) First and foremost, for those seeing this problem, where did you buy the MSM, what brand is it, and is it 99.9% pure MSM such as we sell (or at least advertised to be)? Please supply both the brand and distributor name if available, but no addresses or phone numbers.

2) Second, have you tried long soaking baths such as we suggest in our brochures for the relief of detox symptoms? If you do not know about these, send e-mail to info@msm-msm.com and you will receive an auto-reply that discusses MSM detox and what to do about it.

3) I had a fairly severe detox when I first started taking MSM, but itching was not a part of it. Others of our customers that have discussed detox symptoms directly with us, have not mentioned itching. MSM has always been spoken of as no one can be allergic to it. Since it is pervasive in all of our food supplies, it would be hard to believe that some can possibly be allergic to it.

I find it disturbing to see these reports when no one has come back directly to us and when no symptoms like this are listed by Drs. Jacob and Lawrence in their book after treating literally hundreds (or thousands) of patients with MSM. If anyone has had this happen after taking MSM for the first time and having bought it from us and no other source was used, please let us know so that we can try to find out if this is something that does normally happen with some people. Otherwise, we will have to assume that the MSM causing this problem is from another source and that it has somehow been contaminated with other ingredients. Please post replies here so that we can all see where the source of this problem might be. Thanks for your help.
